The Waterloo Housing Authority administers a down payment assistance program, in an effort to increase homeownership opportunities for non-traditional first time home buyers.

FSS provides HUD housing assistance combined with access to community resources and an opportunity to establish an escrow savings account to participants interested in becoming self-sufficient. 

The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing. 

Waterloo's Homebuyer Assistance  Program is designed to help low to moderate-income eligible households with  homebuyer and closing cost assistance to purchase their first home.
